01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Ipoh, Perak, Restoran Nur & Fan offers a true taste of Malaysian breakfast delights that locals rave about. Renowned for its extensive spread of morning favorites, this humble eatery presents an array of dishes that cater perfectly to the cravings of early risers. From the fragrant and rich Nasi Lemak to the crispy, yet tender Roti Canai, every bite delivers a comforting familiarity wrapped in authentic flavors.

Walking into Restoran Nur & Fan, you are welcomed by the warm, open-air ambiance nestled under a large, shady tree—a setting that beautifully combines a rustic charm with a relaxed vibe. This is a place where strangers become friends over steaming cups of kopi o ais, whose smooth, bittersweet notes perfectly complement the savory dishes served. The quick, friendly service adds to the ease of dining here, making every visit pleasant and hassle-free.

The menu reads like a Malaysian breakfast lover’s dream: Mee, Kuew Teow, and Bihun served in comforting Sup, Kari, or Kicap styles, each bursting with bold spices and fresh ingredients. The beloved Mee Kari Ketam, a spicy and aromatic crab curry noodle, often flies off the shelves early—testament to its delectable taste and popularity. Meanwhile, the Nasi Impit paired with luscious peanut sauce offers a delightful change of pace, creamy and nutty in every mouthful.

Even on a quieter day when certain favorites like the Mee Wantan may be unavailable, the variety and quality of options ensure that no visitor leaves disappointed. Regular patrons praise the Roti Sardin for its perfect balance of flaky layers and savory filling, while others can't get enough of that ever-soft roti canai, which remains tender even when cooled, proving the chef’s skill.

Every visit to Restoran Nur & Fan feels like a heartfelt invitation into Malaysia’s rich culinary heritage, delivered through dishes crafted with care and enjoyed in a welcoming, down-to-earth setting. Whether you’re a local seeking a comforting start to your day or a traveler eager to savor authentic flavors, this restaurant promises a memorable and satisfying breakfast experience.
